Character Concept Art - Fan Design

University Project. Brief was to create something inspired by an existing game studio. Made a NPC character inspired by Supergiant Games' Pyre. Following the deserty fantasy setting, went and made an armadillo carpenter who makes caravans, filling in the dwarf niche in typical fantasy tropes

I imagined the extensive rocks across the character design was a curse (or was said to be) given to this race, stemming from the Crone people of the Pyre games and a potential rival of caravan creation. I lent into the ball and chain idea but wanted to strike the balance between over-encumbered but not helpless .
