In 2020 I worked with Tyler Crumrine to make a supplement for his game Beak, Feather & Bone. He gave me the opportunity to design a new set of characters and I went with mermaids, reinterpreting the desert setting into an underwater seabed.
Wanting to link with the roots of the original game and it's original character illustrator, Austin Breed, I decided to also do a greyscale style for these set of characters while maintaining my own style and sea theme, doing an inkwash approach instead of charcoal.
